About this guide

Independent, source-checked, and clear about its limits

Wallet Field Guide explains consumer crypto wallets in plain English. This edition focuses on Enkrypt: what it is, how the extension works on desktop and how to avoid the expensive mistakes.

We are not Enkrypt, MyEtherWallet or an affiliate. We do not sell wallets, take custody of assets or earn commissions from the links in these guides. The purpose is to help a reader understand the product before installing it.

How we research

Each guide starts with primary sources: the official Enkrypt website, the MyEtherWallet Help Center, the browser store listing, the Mac App Store listing and the public GitHub repository. Where sources disagree, we say so and avoid presenting a guess as a feature.

  • Product facts come from the vendor's current documentation or store listing.
  • Platform availability is checked against the official download path, not search results.
  • Security guidance is limited to general, well-established wallet practice.
  • Pages carry a review date so readers can judge freshness.

Editorial independence

We do not accept payment for a favourable review. We do not use affiliate download links. If a claim cannot be supported by a primary source, it is removed or clearly framed as a limitation.

What this site is not

This is not financial, legal or tax advice. It is not a substitute for the wallet's own prompts, terms or security documentation. Crypto assets can be lost permanently through user error, contract risk or theft. Verify every download and transaction yourself.

Corrections

Wallet products change. If a store listing, chain list or interface label differs from this guide, trust the current official product and treat this page as out of date. We revise pages when a change is confirmed.
